Up to 300 Special Guests to be Greeted by Santa Claus at 1:30 p.m.
WHAT:
The Magical Forest, Opportunity Village’s popular holiday event, opens Friday, Nov. 20 and Santa Claus will arrive early that day to meet some very special guests.
Papillon Group will give the big guy a ride to town via an EC130 helicopter. He will touch down in the College of Southern Nevada parking lot at the entrance of the Magical Forest to greet up to 300 individuals with intellectual disabilities (OVIPs) served by Opportunity Village who will be anxiously awaiting his arrival.
Santa will bring Mrs. Claus and an elf to take photos and hand out treats before heading inside the Magical Forest to begin preparing for the evening's grand opening. Each year, the OVIPs look forward to meeting Santa and this extra special arrival will make it even more exciting.

12:30 p.m.: Media check-in at front gate of Magical Forest
12:45 p.m.: One-on-one media interviews
1:30 p.m.: Santa Claus arrives via helicopter to greet OVIPs, hands out treats, takes photos with waiting guests
2 p.m.: Santa Claus enters Opportunity Village to begin preparation for Magical Forest's opening night
