LAS VEGASOpportunity Village has partnered with CG Technology Sportsbooks to launch Picks for OV, a unique fall football fundraising initiative that will feature several of the Las Vegas Valley’s most recognizable names competing in a friendly handicapping contest for 17 weeks.

For each week of the National Football League (NFL) regular season, which runs from September 6th through December 30th, Picks for OV participants will choose five teams to win against the spread with “betting” lines supplied by the program’s sponsor, CG Technology Sportsbooks.

"We're thrilled to partner with one of the state's leaders in sports wagering and mobile-device betting," said Adam K. Joseph, Vice President of Philanthropy at Opportunity Village. "We always strive to find creative ways to raise the much-needed funds for the people we serve, and Picks for OV is an absolute exciting initiative in the gaming capital of the world!”

Participants include former Mayor Oscar Goodman, 98.5 KLUC’s Chet Buchanan, the Review Journal’s man-about-town columnist John Katsilometes, Fox Sports Radio’s TC Martin and Las Vegas Sports analyst and handicapper Scott Spreitzer. Additional entrants will be announced soon to also compete against an Opportunity Village client-based team.

All contestant entrance fees, or “bets”, will be used to support Opportunity Village’s mission in serving adults within our community with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, CG Technology Sportsbooks will be matching up to $10,000 for fundraising support.
