Opportunity Village offering free tickets to Veterans and Active-Duty Military

LAS VEGAS – Opportunity Village will be hosting Military Appreciation Night in the Magical Forest on Wednesday, Dec. 19, a special one-off event where U.S. Veterans and active-duty military receive free admission for themselves and a guest to the organization’s winter wonderland. Veterans Village CEO and Founder, Arnold Stalk, will be the honorary Mayor of the Magical Forest on this special evening.

“Opportunity Village is thrilled to show its appreciation for all these individuals who have dedicated their lives to serving this great country,” said Bob Brown, President & CEO of Opportunity Village. “We can’t thank them enough for their service and are excited to do a little something for them.’”

In addition to the free tickets, $2 discounts will also be available for other members of their family on General Admission tickets or Passports with the donation of a non-perishable food item to Veterans Village. All Veterans and Military must show valid identification to receive their free general admission tickets.

The Magical Forest’s box office opens at 5:30 p.m. Free admission includes entrance only, and does not include rides and attractions. Attendees can purchase individual ride tickets throughout the park for $3 each.

The Magical Forest offers a wide array of family-friendly holiday fun to enjoy, including nightly entertainment, delicious treats and food, The Blizzard mini-coaster, the Forest Express Passenger Train, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, the Avalanche Slide, the Ethel M Candy Cabin filled with holiday décor and gifts, and photo opportunities with Santa and his friends from the North Pole.

Opportunity Village added over 1 million new lights to the Forest this season and now features the Illumination Experience. The lighting spectacular features a synchronized music show with dancing lights that can be seen from any vantage point of the park and runs every 30 minutes from the time the Forest opens until close.

Opportunity Village’s beloved, 2.5-acre park is located at 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89146. The Magical Forest is open every night from Nov. 23 – Dec. 31, 2018 at 5:30 p.m., with the exception of Christmas Day (Dec. 25). General admission tickets for adults (13+) are $12, while children’s (ages 4-12) tickets are $10. Passports can be purchased for $22 and Children’s Passports are available for $19. Children 3 and under receive free admission. Ticket information is available at www.MagicalForest.com.
