OPPORTUNITY VILLAGE TO OFFER DISCOUNTED MAGICAL FOREST PASSPORTS FOR LAST MINUTE HOLIDAY FUN
Festive Forest Continues to Celebrate the Magic of the Season through New Year’s Eve
LAS VEGAS – As Las Vegas’ longest-running holiday tradition, the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village has delivered yet another heartwarming season of family-friendly fun to the community, but the festivities are not over yet. The beloved Forest will now offer discounted Passports priced at $13 to give guests the gift of savings through the end of the year, Dec. 26-31. Regularly $19 for children and $22 for adults, Passports include admission to the enchanting Forest as well unlimited access to its holiday-themed rides and attractions, including The Blizzard mini-coaster, the Forest Express Passenger Train, Cheyenne’s Enchanted Carousel, the Avalanche Slide, Boris the Elf’s Experience, and Rod’s Mini Golf. As always, children 3 and under are free. Santa doesn’t return to the North Pole until after the Forest season wraps up, so there’s still time for family photos or even whispering a Christmas wish list for 2018.
Magical Forest will also host their annual New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop, where all are invited to reflect on the treasured moments of 2017 and welcome a new year amongst family and friends. The family-friendly party will include a live DJ and pyrotechnic display. The Magical Forest celebration is the only one in Southern Nevada that coincides with the East Coast Ball Drop. So, be sure to bring your family out to the Magical Forest for New Year’s Eve, because when the clock strikes 9:00 p.m., fireworks will paint the sky in an awe-striking display of celebration. Parents and children will be home well before midnight to celebrate the beginning of 2018 with those who matter most.

About Opportunity Village
Mission: Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people within our community with significant intellectual disabilities, to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Seven families who were determined to give their children with disabilities the best lives possible founded Opportunity Village in 1954. Now, more than 60 years later, Opportunity Village is one of the most recognized and respected organizations of its type in the United States.
Nevada’s largest employer of people with disabilities, Opportunity Village serves more than 2,000 individuals annually, providing vocational training, employment, habilitation and social recreation programs and services that make their lives more purposeful and interesting.
Opportunity Village citizens – individuals who were previously considered unemployable – work at Opportunity Village’s Employment Resource Centers and in jobs throughout the community, collectively earning wages amounting to more than $3.7 million in 2016. They are hard-working and diligent, proudly paying taxes and happily leading more fulfilling lives.
Primarily a self-funded organization, Opportunity Village generates the majority of its operational funding through its employment contracts and fundraising efforts such as the Magical Forest and Great Santa Run, saving Nevada taxpayers more than $37 million annually.
