Hellcat Raises over $1.65 million for OV

Posted by PJ Reeves on

September 27th, 2014 at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas, the one-of-one, VIN #0001 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was auctioned for $825,000 to benefit Opportunity Village.

Congratulations to Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports and several Chrysler Group dealerships, for the winning bid!

Matching the donation, The Engelstad Family Foundation, brought the proceeds up to a whopping $1.65 million!

“The $1.65 million raised by auctioning this one-of-one Dodge Challenger Hellcat at this year’s Barrett-Jackson auction means the most powerful muscle car ever will also have a very powerful impact on the people who benefit from the service of Opportunity Village,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge and SRT Brands and Head of Fleet Operations, Chrysler Group LLC.  100% of the proceeds will go to Opportunity Village.

A tremendous thank you to Mr. Kuniskis, John Grant (owner of the local Sahara Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM Dealership) and Barrett-Jackson (The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™) for making this event possible. Our amazing friends Penn Jillette and Wayne Newton were on hand to make the evening even more special.  Because of all your actions and contributions, life will be better for people with disabilities in Las Vegas.
